President Hotel
Focus: Mock Up Rooms
This mock-up room project had a very specific purpose - to explore a range of design schemes at different price points and help the hotel make informed decisions for its upcoming full room refurbishment.
As Project Manager, I oversaw tasks like the design development and budgeting to timelines and construction. The idea was to create several distinct schemes so the team could see, feel, and experience each one in context - and decide which approach, or combination of elements, would best define the hotel’s next chapter.
Project Highlights:
Developed multiple design schemes with varying styles and budgets.
Managed design, budget, and construction timelines from start to finish.
Created a real-world testing environment to inform the larger refurbishment.
Delivered a true sense of scale, finish, and functionality for decision-making.
Laid the foundation for the hotel’s future room upgrade strategy.
Challenges:
The biggest challenge was the tight construction programme, designed to simulate the pace and constraints of a full-scale refurbishment. Balancing quality, detail, and efficiency within those time pressures required careful coordination - but it provided valuable insight into what the larger project would demand.
